Xiaomi Redmi Go with Android Go OS will Launch in India on March 19

Xiaomi has recently launched Redmi Note 7 series smartphone in India few weeks back and company was expected to also introduce the Android Go running devices at the same launch. However, that didn’t happen but now Xiaomi has sent out media invites for a March 19 Launch event where they will be launching the entry level Redmi Go smartphone.

This new phone has already been announced and available in Philippines to purchase. As its name suggests, the handset runs on Google’s lightweight Android Go operating system. So let’s move further and see what will be the Redmi Go specification, feature and price in India.

Redmi Go Feature and Specification

The Redmi Go is an Android Go based handset and thus comes with pre-loaded with Google Go suite of apps. The smartphone will come with 5.0-inch HD display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. There is one more variant launched in Philippines which comes with 16GB of internal storage but as for now it is not confirmed that this variant will be available in India or not. The device will also support microSD card for memory expansion upto 128GB.

Moving towards the other specification of the deivce. This will be a dual SIM device. It will also offer an 8MP rear camera setup. The main camera comes with autofocus support and there’s a single LED flash on the back. On front there will be a 5MP front facing camera. It will also have a good enough 3,000mAh non-removable battery.

Redmi Go Price in India (expected)

The all new redmi Go smartphone is currently available in Philippine at a price tag of Philippine Piso 3,490(around Rs. 4,500). But it seems that company might price it little lower than this because Xiaomi is known for its aggressive pricing in India Market.
