Xiaomi Mi 9 will be powered by Snapdragon 855 Chipset, Confirms Xiaomi CEO
As we all know that Samsung is also set to launch its next flagship Galaxy S10 series smartphone on 20th of February, and Xiaomi has all set to launch its next flagship Xiaomi Mi 9 on the same day. This handset will be globally launch on 24th of February in Barcelona at MWC 2019.
Xiaomi is teasing its smartphone from many days and now the CEO of Xiaomi Lei Jun has revealed that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 9 will come with four cameras which include triple rear camera sensors and one front camera. And now Gizmochina reported that in a chat video he confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 9 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, which is the latest flagship process till now.
Furthermore the report also claims that the Snapdragon 855 processor will be assisted by X24 LTE modem, instead of the Snapdragon X5 LTE modem. This suggest that the new Xiaomi Mi 9 will not be supporting 5G connectivity. We expect that the company might launch the 5G variant in 24th of February MWC 2019 product launch.
In addition to these reports, the company also posted come new Mi 9 renders on its official Weibo account. The renders shows the Xiaomi Mi 9 in pink-blue gradient finish color. Before this the company has also stated that it is using a “nano-scale laser holography process, with double layer coating” to create the holographic illusion colors.
As per the report, rumors and Geekbench listing of the smartphone, it is expected that the handset will come with a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with waterdrop notch. This handset will have triple rear camera setup and it will come with Android 9 Pie. This handset will have 3,500mAH battery.
To remind you, the xiaomi event will be held in Beijing, China on 20th of February where they will be launching the Xiaomi Mi 9 and the company will also be having a product launch event at Barcelona in MWC on 24th of February where they are expected to launch some more products including Xiaomi Mi 9.
