Xiaomi Conformed No Mi A2 Smartphone launch in India but will continue to make Android One phones
Last year Xiaomi had launched Mi A1 which was the same handset they launched earlier in China as Xiaomi Mi 5X. the main difference was the Mi 5X was running on MIUI and the Mi A1 comes with stock Android OS. It was so because Mi A1 was launched as Android One device.
Last month the company has launched the Mi 6X in China which was the successor to Mi 5X, and the internet get full of rumors that the Mi 6X will be launching as Mi A2 in Global market including India. However there is no concrete evidence of this that the Mi A2 is going to launch soon.
According to Digit, a source within the company has said in there last interaction when they asked about the Mi A2 that, “There is no phone that exists by that name. But we are going to make more android One phones.”
As of now there is no information regarding any Android One smartphone launching by Xiaomi. In coming weeks the company is expected to launch Redmi S2 as Redmi Y2 in India.
Taking about the specs of Xiaomi Mi 6X, this handset comes with a 5.99-inches Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor with Adreno 512 GPU coupled with 4GB and 6GB of RAM comes with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage.
In camera department it offers a 20MP+12MP Dual rear camera and a 20MP single front facing camera both camera comes with LED flash. There is no 35mm headphone jack. It comes with 3010mAh non-removable battery and also supports fast charging with Quick Charge 3.0. this handset comes with all necessary connectivity option and sensor including face unlocking feature and runs on Android oreo 8.1 based on MIUI 9.5 out of the box.
