After launching Vivo S1 in China and Indonesia, Vivo is planning to launch this new smartphone in India. Vivo hasn’t said anything about its launch, but they has started to send out invites to media for a launch “dial S for Style” written on it. And from that aspect it seems to be the launch of Vivo S1 smartphone.
As above mentioned this smartphone has been launched in China and in Indonesia last week. And the India variant is also expected to come with similar specs and design. The Vivo S1 is expected to be offered in two storage variants. The base model will come with 6GB of RAM having 64GB of internal storage where as the higher model will come with 6GB of RAM having 128GB of internal storage. According to a report the price of Vivo S1 will start in India around INR 17,990 for the base variant and the higher variant might cost little more, it’s not the official pricing of the Vivo S1 it is something what the rumors says.
Vivo S1 Specification and Feature highlights
As above mentioned the Vivo S1 is seems to have similar specs to its Indonesian Variant and the pricing of the device will drop it in mid-range segment in India. In this new Vivo S1, the brand has decided to go with AMOLED display panel with FHD+ resolution. It will have in-display fingerprint sensor. The screen will also has a waterdrop notch which will house a 32MP front facing camera. On rear it will be having triple rear facing camera setup with 16MP Sony IMX499 primary sensor coupled with 8MP wide-angle sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The camera also has AI beauty mode.
Moving towards its processor, this handset is powered by MediaTek Helio P65 SoC with Mali G-52 GPU. As mentioned above in India it is expected to come in two variant one will offer 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and the other one will offer 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The storage will also be further expandable via using microSD card.
Moving towards its network and connectivity options, it will be having 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack and micro USB port. It will bear a big 4,500mAh battery which comes with support of Vivo’s VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology. This handset will run on FunTouch OS over Android 9 pie.
This is all for now, this handset is expected to compete with Realme X in India which has a beautiful design and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC. It also has full view display without any notch thanks to the pop-up camera module which is used in Realme X. As above mentioned the Vivo S1 is all set to launch in India on 7th of August.
