Tips To Stop Whatsapp From Sharing Your Data With Facebook
Last month there was a report and news that Facebook Data have been leaked in Cambridge. The controversy is still brewing, and in result there is a growing awareness about how much and which or what kind of data is being shared online from social media. All the users who are just unaware or just didn’t care while sharing anything on social media are now getting a bit more curious about this.
In a recent report Facebook owned Whatsapp is also under the scanner for sharing its user’s information with its parent company Facebook. In response to this report whatsapp said that it collects very little data of its users and all the messages is end-to-end encrypted.

Method 1 : To chose weather you want to share whatsapp information to Facebook or not.
When you download WhatsApp application and as soon as you run it you will be asked to “Agree” to accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. But before taping on “Agree” tap on ‘read more’. Scroll it till last and in the bottom of the screen you will find a check box, which you can uncheck if you do not want you WhatsApp account information shared with Facebook.
Method 2 :- If you have Already agreed to WhatsApp’s Terms and Policies and want to stop whatsapp to share your account information with facebook.
If you have agreed to Whatsapp Terms and Policies and if you do not want your WhatsApp account information shared with Facebook to improve your Facebook ads and product experience then you just have to go to Settings >> Account >> Share My Account Info in the app and uncheck the box
Above mentioned are the ways to stop WhatsApp from sharing information to Facebook. One thing you should note that Whatsapp has stated in its official blog that, “The Facebook family of companies will still receive and use this information for other purpose such as improving infrastructure and delivery system, understanding how our service or theirs are user, securing systems, and fighting spam, abuse or infringement activities.”
