All the smartphone company’s are just fighting to achieve a true 100 percent screen to body ratio on their smartphones. And to achieve it the front camera is the biggest obstacle that comes in between their dream to came true.

Samsung’s Under Display Camera Smartphone Hint to Release by 2020

We have already seen many technology which has increased the screen to body ratio in smartphone, notch, punch-hole camera and then pop-up module and even a rotating camera which turns the rear camera to front while taking selfies. However the future implementation of front camera is going to be more interesting, I’m sure that it will increase your excitement to see the upcoming smartphopne. The smartphone company’s are working on under-display camera (UDC) module. And it seems like we could see the first under-display camera (UDC) module smartphopne in early 2020.

A recent report has suggested that Samsung is preparing the technology for mass production. A South Koren media website has reported that Samsung Under Display camera Technology will  make its ways on one of its smartphone which will launch by half of 2020. According to that report Samsung Display has brought two pieces of equipm,ent to its campuses : HIAA1 and HIAA2. The term HIAA is stands for Hole in Active Area.

The report further claimed that Samsung is testing the HIAA1 equipment for standard punch-hole display cutting while the HIAA2 will be used for the Under Display Camera technology. The HIAA1 technology has been brought to Samsung campus back in August, but the HIAA2 was brought this month and a mass product of UDC OLED panels is expected to kick off by first half of 2020.

There will be multiple smartphone featuring UDC in 2020, recently OPPO, Xiaomi and Honor have also confirmed that they are too working on under display camera module. it seems like 2020 will be the year when we will first see the under display camera technology, yes it’s sure that the quality of UDC will not match the current camera, but in coming time it will get better.
