Samsung has officially launched the Samsung Galaxy Fold in India. This is the first foldable android smartphone launched in India. This smartphone was unveiled few months back in February and now it has official launched in India.

Samsung has also made some improvements in the original model launched in India comparing to what they have showed in February at the unveiling of this product. The main highlight of this smartphone is obviously its display. It comes with a foldable display which allows users to transform it into a tablet like device. Apart from the display the main key highlights also includes, six Cameras, 512GB storage, Snapdragon 855 SoC etc.

Moving towards the specification and feature highlights of the Samsung galaxy Fold, it comes with dual display. On the outside it has a 4.6 inch HD+ super AMOLED display having 21:9 aspect ratio. The second is a 7.3 inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED display having 4.2:3 aspect ratio. Samsung call named this display “Infinity Flex Display”. This handset is powered by 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor coupled with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. This smartphone didn’t support any microSD card to expand the storage.

In terms of Camera, Samsung Galaxy Fold have total 6 cameras. Three are placed at the rear, two are placed at inside and one is on the front. Let’s start from the front, it have a 10MP selfie camera on the outside. At back it has a triple rear camera setup which consists of 12MP wide angle lens with dual aperture, the second one is of 12MP telephoto lens and the third one is a 16MP ultra wide angle sensor. Now when the device is unfold. There are two cameras inside, one is of 10MP and the second is of 8MP

For powering this smartphone Samsung has used two batteries in the phone which are placed on two sides of the handset. The batteries combine their energy and offer a total capacity if 4,380mAh.

Apart from the new display innovation the company has also worked on its UI. According to the Samsung, they have worked with Google and the developer community at large to make user that everything is working perfectly or not. User can use simultaneously three apps on the large 7.3 inch display.

Samsung Galaxy Fold Price and Availability in India

The all new Samsung Galaxy Fold price is set in India at Rs. 1,64,999 for the lone 12GB RAM+512GB storage variant. The handset will be available in Cosmos Black color and will also include the Samsung Galaxy Fold Premier Service with One-on-one assistance with a Fold Concierge and One Year accidental damage protection as well as one-time free screen replacement.  Pre-booking for this product will starts from October 4 and the shipments of those orders will starts from 20th of October. The pre-booking will be from Samsung eShop and all Offline Samsung Stores.
