Xiaomi has launched Redmi 8A in India as a successor to the Redmi 7A. The new Redmi 8A smartphone comes under Xiaomi’s most popular A series which is known for its budget segment.
The main highlight of this handset is its “Aura Wave Grip’ design and P29 nano-coating which makes the handset splash-resistant. The handset comes with waterdrop notch display and bears a big 5,000mAh battery.
As far as pricing is concerned, it comes in two variant 2GB RAM+32GB storage and 3GB RAM+32GB storage and comes with a price tag of Rs. 6,499 and Rs. 6,999 respectively. Let’s move further and dig some more information about the newly launched Redmi 8A.
Redmi 8A Specs and Availability
The all new Redmi 8A comes with 6.22-inch HD+ display having 19:9 aspect ratio and comes with protection of corning gorilla glass 5 on top. It has a waterdrop notch at the top middle of the screen. This handset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC coupled with 2GB/3GB of RAM and comes with 32GB of internal storage. The storage can be further increased via using dedicated microSD card upto 512GB.
Moving towards the camera specs, it offers a 12MP Sony IMX363 single rear camera having 1.8 aperture lens and an LED flash. On front this handset has 8MP front facing camera. it features Ai portrait mode and AI scene Detection. The handset also has AI face unlock feature.
This handset is a dual SIM handset. It runs on MIUI 10 over Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. it bears a 5,000mAh battery and comes with support of 18W fast charging support. The Xiaomi has confirmed that there will be 10W charger given in the box. The user can buy 18W fast charger separately to get the benefits.
The handset will be available in three color, black, red and blue in India. it will go on sale through Flipkart and Mi.com from 29th of September 2019.
