Oppo Revealed its Firs Smartphone with Under-Display Camera: MWC Shanghai 2019

MWC Shanghai 2019, which is going on in China. Several Brands has showcased their products there Vivo has launched its first commercial 5G smartphone and also showcased its 120W Super Flash Charge Technology.

Oppo Has also taken one step in term of new innovation in smartphone tech industry. Oppo has unveiled worlds first smartphone prototype with an under-display front camera technology. This new technology has just a big step towards offering a complete bezel-less screen in smartphone without any notch or pop-up camera solution. The front camera is just under the display.

Oppo has been teasing this new technology from last couple of days. The interesting thing happen when the Oppo first showcased the under-display camera technology in the teaser the Xiaomi also showcased its own prototype which was using similar technology for the under display camera. Both the brands has showcased their under-display front camera prototype, it will be interesting to see if more companies will join this race. We can easily predict that 2020 will be the year for this technology.

Oppo Under Display Camera Smartphone Prototype

Moving towards the prototype Smartphone which was showcased at the OPPO booth during MWC Shanghai, the prototype has uses a zoned-out area on the screen under which the front camera sensor is placed, the brand has used very special type of transparent material which allows more light to pass through to the camera sensor which help to take the picture.

If you look more closely then you will notice that at that area the pixel density seem to be lower in comparison to other area. It is really appreciate work but till now it’s not able to give as much better pictures as compared to those smartphone which we are using now. We can expect that it can improve in coming years same like what happen to in-display fingerprint sensor.

Apart from Oppo, Xiaomi has also showcased its own prototype smartphone having under-display camera on its social medial platform Twitter and Weibo. Apart from both these company Samsung has also said that they are also working on similar technology to offer in their smartphone. in coming month or year we will be seeing several smartphone with this technology, till then stay tuned with us and be updated with latest technology.
