Oppo has launched two new smartphone today in China, the all new Oppo Reno and Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition. The main highlight of the device was its panoramic AMOLED Display along with Gorilla Glass 6 protection, side swing front facing camera module which also has earpiece, front soft light and back LED flash. The 10X Zoom Edition of the Oppo Reno has triple rear camera setup that has a periscope telephoto lens which actually enable the 10x Zoom.
This new Oppo Reno has many other features too inbuilt with hardware to software department. Let’s move further and dig some more information about newly launched Oppo Reno and Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition Specification, features highlights, price and availability.
Oppo Reno, Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition Specification and Feature Highlights
The regular Oppo Reno features a 6.4-inch full hd+ panoramic AMOLED display with sixth generation Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The display panel is also TUV Rheinland certified and supports DCI-P3 color gamut. The handset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor coupled with 6GB as well as 8GB of RAM having 128GB and 256GB of storage options. Whereas the Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition offers 6.6-inch panoramic AMOLED display with same protection but it is powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC and comes in 6GB/8GB RAM model having 128GB and 256GB of storage.
In terms of Camera, the all new Oppo Reno has dual rear facing camera with a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor and a 5MP secondary depth sensor. it also has the iconic side-swing front facing camera module which holds the 16MP front facing camera which comes with f/2.0 aperture. The front facing camera supports five portrait modes along with AI features.
Whereas the Reno 10X Zoom Edition has triple rear camera setup that also include 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor having f/1.7 aperture lens, a 13MP secondary sensor along with a periscope telephoto lens and an 8MP tertiary sensor with wide angle lens.
Apart from these specs, the Oppo Reno comes with 3,765mAH battery that comes with VOOC 3.0 fast charging support whereas the Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition comes with 4,065mAh battery and also supports VOOC 3.0 charging technology.
In terms of network and connectivity it include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Dual GPS, NFC and USB Type C port. The device also has in-display fingerprint sensor. the main difference in Oppo Reno and Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition is that the 10X Zoom Edition comes with 5G network support, the company will be introducing the 5G spark program in China and they will select 200 Oppo Users to test out the company’s 5G smartphone before the handset hit the commercial launch which is scheduled for April 24th in Zurich, Switzerland.

Moving towards the Oppo Reno price, the base variant of Oppo Reno which comes with 6GB of RAM+128GB of storage is priced in China at CNY 2,999 (around Rs. 30,900). The 6GB RAM +256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 3,299 (around Rs. 34,000). The 8GB RAM+256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 3,599 (around Rs. 37,100). This handset will be available in Nigh Black, Fog Sea Green, Mist Powder and Nebula Purple and the sale for this handset will start from 19th of April.
Now moving towards the Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition which is a 5G handset is priced at CNY 3,999 (around Rs. 41,200) for 6GB of RAM+128GB of storage. The 6GB+256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 4,499 (around Rs. 46,400) and the 8GB RAM+256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 4,799 (around Rs. 49,500). The handset will be available in Extreme Night Black and Fog Sea Green. It will go on sale in mid-may.
The company has launched both the handset in China, they didn’t mentioned anything about its global debut and India launch. But a lunch event is going to take place in Switzerland on 24th of April where Oppo is expected to launch these handset globally including India.
