Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2 Launched with Dedicated Google Assistant Button Starts at Rs. 9,900 : MWC 2019
HMD Global has launched Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2 smatrtphone in a press event held in MWC 2019,Barcelona, Spain. These smartphones are the affordable comes under Google Android One programme with a promise to give 3 years latest updates and also features artificial intelligence powered Camera, face unlock, dedicated Google assistant button, water drop notch, fingerprint sensor, bigger battery with a promise of giving tow day battery life and much more.
The most interesting thing which was not present in last Nokia devices was the dedicated Google Assistant button and notification light in the power button. Apart from the Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2 the company also launched the most awaited Nokia 9 PureView smartphone which comes with penta-camera setup and also launched the two feature phones Nokia 210 and Nokia 1 Plus in the same press event in MWC which is the world’s largest tradeshow for the mobile industry in Barcelona.
Now let’s move towards the specification and feature highlights of the both Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2 smartphone and then we will see the pricing as well as availability of the device. This time Nokia has done a good job in terms of pricing and availability.
Nokia 3.2 Specification Details
Moving towards the specification and feature details of the newly launched Nokia 3.2, it features a 6.26-inch HD+ display having a resolution of 720×152 pixels at 19:9 aspect ratio. It also has a U-shaped notch at the top of the display as you can see in the image. The Nokia 3.2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 processor coupled with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage. The storage can be further increased upto 400GB via using microSD card. These two variants are similar but the Nokia 3.2 2GB RAM and 16GB storage variant doesn’t have fingerprint sensor but the 3GB RAM and 32Gb storage varinat has rear mounted fingerprint sensor.
In terms of Camera, Nokia 3.2 has a 13MP single rear facing camera with f/2.2 aperture autofocus lens and in front it has a 5MP fixed focus lens camera having f/2.2 aperture.
As above mentioned these smartphone comes under Android One program, so it runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box and will get updates upto 3 years of security update and 2 years system updates. It has 3.5mm audio jack and microUSB port for charging and data transferring. It comes with a big 4,000mAH battery.
Nokia 4.2 Specification and features Highlights
Now, let’s move towards the Nokia 4.2 specification and features highlights, it features a 5.71-inch HD+ display having a resolution of 720×1520 pixels at 19:9 aspect ratio. This device has 2.5D curved glass on front as well as back with polycarbonate frame and metal internal structure. Nokia 4.2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor coupled with 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB internal storage options. The storage can be further increased via suing microSD card upto 400GB.
In terms of Camera, the Nokia 4.2 offers a dual 13MP+2MP rear facing camera setup with having primary sensor of f/2.2 aperture. In front it has 5 MP front facing camera.
Both the device comes with dedicated Google Assistant button and comes under Android One Program. The Nokia 4.2 also has 4,000mAh battery.
Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2 Price and Availability
According to the HMD Global, the all new Nokia 3.2 will go on sale from May 2019 and the Nokia 4.2 will reach the market store in the month of April. The global average price of the Nokia 3.2 for the base variant which comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage is at $139 (around Rs. 9,900) and the 3GB RAM+32GB storage variant is priced at $ 169 (around Rs. 12,000). Coming towards the Nokia 4.2, the base variant of the Nokia 4.2 is priced at $169(around Rs. 12,000) for 2GB RAM+16GB storage model and the 3GB RAM+32GB storage model is priced at $199(around Rs. 14,200).
