Google has finally launched the next generation Pixel smartphones during its Made By Google event that was held in New York. As like always the headline and the highlight was the camera but this time there were much more surprises from Google.

The all new Google pixel 4 series smartphones feature a radar sensor, dubbed project soli during the development and now called as Motion Sense. This new feature allows the smartphone to support Air Gestures with the help of that you can just wave your hand on your smartphone to execute certain actions.

Moving towards the specification and features highlight of the Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, the all new Google Pixel 4 features a 5.7-inch full HD+ OLED where as the Google Pixel 4 XL features a 6.3-inch QHD+ display. Both features 90Hz refresh rate, HDR support, 444ppi resolution and comes with corning gorilla glass 5 protection.

Both the handsets are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and comes with 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The Google has also implemented Google’s Titan M security chip for better data security on-device.

In terms of Camera, the Pixel 4 series smartphones features a dual rear camera setup having 16MP primary sensor having f/2.4 aperture with a 12.2MP secondary sensor having f/1.7 aperture and 77-degree field of view. It has a dedicated laser focus sensor too. On front it offers a 8MP front facing camera. The rear camera support 4K video at 30fps and 1080p at upto 120fps where as front camera is capable to record 1080p video at 30fps.

Moving towards the other specs, the Google Pixel 4 bears a 2,800mAh battery, whereas the Pixel 4 XL bears a 3,700mAh battery. Both the smartphones features 18W fast charging support.

Google Pixel 4 is priced at $799 (around INR 57,000), where as the Google Pixel 4 XL si priced at $899 (around INR 64,000). Pre-order has been started and the shipping will be started from 24th of October. The handset will be available in three different colors, Just Black, Clearly White and a limited edition Oh So Orange.

All the Pixel 4 buyers will get 3 months of Google One, which includes 100GB of cloud storage and 1 on 1 pro sessions if you need help with the handset.

Unfortunately these Google Pixel 4 series smartphone won’t be available in India. They said “Google has a wide range of products that we make available in different regions around the world. We determine availability based on a variety of factors, including local trend, and product features. We decided not to make Pixel 4 available in India. We remain committed to our current Pixel Phones and look forward to bring future Pixel devices to India.”
