Google Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL with Snapdragon 670 SoC launched : Price, Specs & Feature


Google has finally launched its new mid-range flagship device. This handset was in rumor from last couple of months and finally we had our eyes on the handset at Google’s I/O 2019. The Pixel 3A and Pixel 3A XL is identical to Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL in terms of design.

The all new Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL is mid-range premium smartphone. The main highlight of the smartphone was its Camera, which is just like a flagship camera, the pixel 3a also offers duo Pixel-specific apps and services including the company’s own photography software. Let’s move further and dig some more information about the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. Moving towards the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL specification and feature highlights, the Google Pixel 3a offers a 5.6-inch full HD+ gOLED display having a resolution of 1080×2220 pixels while the Google Pixel 3a XL features a 6-inch Full HD+ gOLED display having 1080×2160 pixels. Both handset comes with slightly chin on top and bottom of the screen. Both smartphone displays are protected by Dragon Trail glass. Both the handsets are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor which was unveiled by the Qualcomm last year. Both the handset offers a 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There is microSD card support. The handset comes in only one variant 64GB storage + 4GB RAM.

In terms of Camera, the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL offers a 12.2MP single rear camera having a Dual Pixel Sony IMX363 sensor with optical and electronic image stabilization (OIS+EIS) having an f/1.8 aperture, 76-degree field of view, 1/2.55-inch sensor and 1.4-micron pixels. it also feature HDR+, Portrait Mode, Super Res Zoom and Night Sight. The rear camera is also capable of shooting 4K videos at 30fps. On front this handset has an 8MP front facing camera having f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron pixels and 84-degree field of view.

Apart from these as this handset is a Google device it will run on latest Android 9.0 Pie and the company has also said that the handset will get a minimum 3 years of OS and Security updates, these handset are Single SIM device, while the Dual SIM will be available on the Pixel 3a Dua in India with featuring an eSIM (currently having support of Jio and Airtel). The Pixel 3a bears a 3,000mAh battery while the Pixel 3a XL bears a 3,700mAh battery. Both the devices comes with 18W fast charging support which the company claimed that it will give 7hours of battery life in just 15-minutes charge. As far as network and connectivity options are concerned, it includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack. In terms if sensor it has accelerometer, barometer, magnetometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope and proximity sensor, it also has rear mounted fingerprints sensor.

Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL Price & Availability in India

The Google Pixel 3a is priced at Rs. 39,999 in India while the Pixel 3a XL is priced at Rs. 44,999 in India. The handset comes in only one configuration 4GB RAM/64GB storage. The handset will be available in Clearly White, Just Black and Purplish. The sale will get start from 15th of May till then the pre-registration will get started from 12:30IST from 8th of May via flipkart.

Talking about the global pricing, the Pixel 3a is priced at $399 in US (around Rs. 28,000) whereas the Pixel 3a XL is priced at $479 (around Rs. 33,500). Apart from US and India these handset will also be available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Spain, Taiwan, Singapore and the UK.
