Foldable iPhone Designs Leaked in Apple’s Patent Application : Report
We are well knwon that many big Android smartphone making brands are working on their foldable smartphones, now it looks like that Apple has also joined the race of foldable smartphones. It seems that the 2019 year will be of next generation foldable smartphones.
According to a report a patent application filed by the Cupertino-based iPhone maker which suggest that the company might be having an experiment with multiple sets of design for a foldable iPhone. The sketch found in the patent application ahs multiple designs both inward and outward folding. In the sketch there is one more thing which is most interesting that there is a mention of a double folding smartphone design that will create a triple stacked.
Apart from this report, Apple’s patent application that was published on the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark office) recently is titled as “Flexible Display Device”.
These sketches looks similar to what we are seeing in other brands design. The first sketch in Apple’s patent application shows the foldable device design which is quite similar to the rumoured Motorola Razr 2019 smartphone. Moving towards the another diagram, it hints towards the same design we have seen on the Royal Flexpai and recently leaked Vivo’s iQoo which a new sub-brand of Vivo. The folding mechanism looks like what we have seen in rumoured Samsung Foldable Smartphone which is said to be launch on 20th of February with Samsung galaxy S10 series smartphones.
Coming towards the last design which shows a double folding concept design with two hinges that will create three layers of the main body. Let’s see what Apple is planning, as mentioned above its just a concept its not sure whether the company is developing any product on this concept or not. As for now Samsung, Hauwei and Xiaomi has several leaks and hands-on videos of their foldable device which is expected to be launch soon in coming months. Lets see when Apple is going to join this race or it will start a new race with some other innovation.
